ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

The 12th Player Academy is a skills-focused football development program designed to build strong technical foundations and game understanding during the important sub-junior years.

Designed for players aged 6–13, the Academy supports young athletes at a range of stages in their football journey. Our structured sessions focus on developing confidence on the ball, decision-making, and game awareness in a positive, engaging environment.

Alongside regularly scheduled training and games, we place strong emphasis on building positive life skills such as respect, teamwork, honesty, and gratitude. Players develop ball mastery, enjoy plenty of time on the ball, and learn through fun, skill-focused game formats.

We are committed to equal playing time and equal access to high-quality, professional coaching for every participant. Whether a child is looking to improve their overall ability, gain confidence in match situations, or work towards more competitive pathways over time, the 12th Player Academy provides a supportive, high-quality program that helps young players grow while enjoying the game.

What we focus on

Designed to develop players’ athletic ability and tactical aspects of the game, our curriculum works to improve physical performance and game intelligence in each of our players.

We also work closely with each of the players to address their individual needs so that they are able to apply and hone in on their natural abilities whilst developing tactical thinking during competitive play. That is how we take players to the next level in their evolution as a soccer player.

frequently asked questions (f.a.q’s)

  • The Soccer Academy Program is designed for junior players, generally from around 6 to 13 years of age. Age groups may vary slightly depending on the location, program structure and player numbers in each region.

Players are grouped in a way that supports their age, ability, confidence and stage of development, so they can train in an environment that feels challenging but still appropriate.

  • No. Your child does not need to be an advanced player to join.

The program is designed to support players at different stages of their football journey. Some children join because they already show strong potential and want extra development, while others join to build confidence, improve their skills and enjoy the game in a more structured environment.

The most important things are that your child enjoys football, is willing to learn and is ready to participate in a positive team environment.

  • The Soccer Academy Program focuses on developing well-rounded young footballers. Training may include:

    • Ball mastery and close control

    • First touch and passing

    • Movement on and off the ball

    • 1v1 attacking and defending

    • Decision-making

    • Game awareness

    • Confidence and creativity

    • Teamwork, discipline and resilience

Our goal is to help players build strong technical foundations while also learning how to think, move and make better decisions during the game.

  • Trials give our coaches an opportunity to meet your child, understand their current stage of development and see how they respond in a training environment.

The trial is not designed to be intimidating. It usually involves your child joining a session or taking part in age-appropriate drills and small-sided games.

Trials are also an opportunity to give parents and players the confidence they need to see how we interact with the players and experience the quality of our sessions first hand.

  • Yes. For players who are ready and have the ambition to progress, we provide development-focused training that supports the skills, confidence, game understanding and training habits needed for higher-level football environments, including club, representative and NPL pathways. We do not guarantee selection, as every player’s journey is different, but we help players prepare, improve and understand what is required to take the next step.

  • The Soccer Academy Program is held across selected locations, which may vary depending on the region, season and available facilities.

Current and upcoming locations may include academy venues, school partnerships and community sporting facilities. The best way to confirm the most suitable location for your child is to contact us with your suburb or region, and we can let you know what programs are currently available near you.

  • Program pricing may vary depending on the location, age group, program format, session frequency and length of term.

Once we know which region and program is most suitable for your child, we can provide the relevant pricing and inclusions. This ensures families receive the correct information for their specific location rather than a one-size-fits-all price.

For the most accurate pricing, please contact us or submit an enquiry and we will send through the current program details for your area.
